During the scheduled September meeting, the Vidalia Board of Education and Superintendent Dr. Sandy Reid dedicated a portion of the meeting to honor each school's Teachers of the Year.
On August 24th, Swainsboro Middle School played host to a chess tournament, bringing together 18 players from Vidalia High School, Trinity Christian School, and Vidalia Heritage Academy.
Sixteen students from Vidalia High School participated in and completed the Volunteen Program offered over the summer by Memorial Health Meadows Hospital.
