The Vidalia High School Theater program gives students the opportunity to explore acting, stagecraft, and performance. Through productions, competitions, and classroom learning, students develop skills in storytelling, public speaking, and creative collaboration.
The program emphasizes both performance (acting, singing, movement) and production (set design, costuming, lighting, stage management).

Membership & Eligibility
Enrollment in drama/theater classes
Participation in extracurricular productions (open auditions for plays and musicals)
Membership in theater-related organizations (Drama Club, One-Act Play cast, etc.)
Must be a VHS student in good standing
Attend scheduled rehearsals and performances
Follow audition guidelines for cast and crew roles

The VHS Theater program presents a variety of productions and participates in competitive events throughout the year, fostering talent both on and off the stage.
Competitive One-Act Play performances at region and state levels.
Annual fall and spring stage productions, including plays and musicals.
Special performances for school assemblies and local community events.
Hands-on roles in stage management, directing, and backstage technical crew.
