The Vidalia High School Band program offers students the opportunity to perform in multiple ensembles — including marching band, concert band, jazz band, and pep band. Our mission is to cultivate musical excellence, teamwork, and school spirit.

We perform at football games, concerts, competitions, community events, and parades. The band is a core part of VHS’s extracurricular and arts culture.

Membership & Eligibility

Membership is open to all students at Vidalia High School who are interested in participating in band, regardless of experience level. Students must:

Enroll in the band class (marching / concert band)

Provide their own instrument or arrange for school rental (where available)

Attend rehearsals, performances, and events

Demonstrate commitment to both musical growth and ensemble responsibility

If auditions are required for advanced ensembles (jazz band, solo performances), this is handled at the beginning of the year.
